The Obligatory Favourite Album List
It’s that time where I list my favourite albums. The only rule is that the album must of been in my possession for over 6 months. Most of the acts I’ve seen live which also has an influence (naturally the Beatles is a struggle).
- Queens of the Stone Age – Rated R
- Gabby Young & Other Animals – We’re All In This Together
- Gemma Hayes – Night On My Side
- Eighties Matchbox BLine Disaster – Horse of the Dog
- Charles Bradley – No Time For Dreaming

- Beatles – Rubber Soul
- Queens of the Stone Age – Self Titled

- Ryuichi Sakamoto – Playing The Piano
- Turin Brakes – The Optimist
- Kyuss – And The Circus Leaves Town
- Pure Reason Revolution – The Dark Third
- Wye Oak – Civilian
- Queens of the Stone Age – Songs for the Deaf
There’s a few albums that are new to my collection that I’m really loving at the mo. Only time will tell if Charlene Soraia – Moonchild, Tame Impala – InnerSpeaker, Ane Brun – Changing of the Seasons, Irma Thomas – Straight From the Soul and Olafur Arnalds – …and they have escaped the weight in darkness will make it to this list. But frankly what does it matter? Go and see live music to support musicians!
